working cattle station, 300km west of Cairns in Queensland,
Wrotham Park Lodge encompasses the spirit of the Australian
outback combined with a unique, luxury resort experience.
Wrotham Park Lodge caters to no more than 20 guests at any
one time in 10 superbly appointed 'Quarters' which are
situated along a stunning escarpment, overlooking the
Mitchell River. You'll relish the warm hospitality,
fantastic views of the far reaching landscape, expansive
deck with swimming pool, relaxing lounge and cosmopolitan
camp-fire.
Strap yourself in for the ride of a lifetime on a live
cattle muster, enjoy a leisurely horse ride along the
station trails and learn how to emulate the chef's country
cuisine with a cooking demonstration. If you're looking for
something more relaxing, indulge in a gourmet picnic by the
river, or with your favorite drink in hand and the wet-wall
of the lap pool as your coaster, take the day as it comes.

ACCOMMODATIONS |

The guest accommodation at Wrotham Park
Lodge is styled on pioneer designs and furnishings with a
modern luxury twist.
A total of 10 guest Quarters are situated along the
escarpment with views overlooking the Mitchell River. In
harmony with the outback environment, the Quarters are
visually spectacular and generous in size, boasting a large
deck for the ultimate enjoyment of the outback views.
The Quarters feature leather arm chairs and bed bolsters,
shaded verandahs with day beds and a squatters chair. With
the giant waves of colour outside, in the classic big blue
sky and red earth that characterize the outback, interior
tones are muted, charcoal, earth and harvest.

The Homestead
Emulating timber slab houses with wrap-around verandahs, the
Homestead pays tribute to Queensland's outback architecture,
its dining and living area, library and bar are styled on
pioneer designs and furnishings - all with a modern twist. A
feature of the outdoor living area is an oversized raised
platform ideal for dusk drinks and wildlife watching. Here
comfortable lounge seating surrounds the cosmopolitan
version of a camp-fire and the location is perfect for
viewing brilliant red sunsets as well as taking in the
sparkling velvet of the outback night sky. |

DINING EXPERIENCE |
|
Dining at Wrotham Park
Lodge is based on an interpretation of traditional
Australian country fare with contemporary influences. Fresh
local produce is featured on the menu, including the world
renowned '1824' premium grade beef. As the menu changes
daily, you will enjoy a variety of dining experiences,
ranging from grilled barbecue to bush banquets.
The menu can be modified at any time to suit vegetarian
preferences. Special dietary requirements can also be
arranged, however, due to the Lodge's remote location we
request that notice is provided prior to arrival.
