Le Blanc Spa Resort is the former Hotel Sierra Cancún, which was acquired by Palace Resorts and closed on August 29, 2004 for a complete renovation. Palace then transformed all of the 260 guest rooms into luxury suites, most with ocean views and all with double Jacuzzis, and added a state-of-the-art 29,000 square-foot spa, over 10,000 square feet of modern meeting facilities, and four specialty restaurants that feature cuisine from around the world. The renovations were directed by Elias & Elias Arquitectos, one of the most celebrated architect and interior design firms in Mexico.

While at the Spa, guests can embark on a sensorial voyage through the four elements of nature with the signature Le Blanc Water Journey. Le Blanc's trained staff escorts guests through a guided hydrotherapy routine that begins with “Salus per Aquam,” is a traditional water ritual created by the ancient Romans that was based on alternating heat and cool phases followed by relaxation and hydration. This 40 or 60-minute treatment is initiated with a revitalizing shower that is immediately followed by a detoxifying herbal steam or dry sauna. Guests are then treated to a cool pressure shower and a relaxing soak in one of Le Blanc's many whirlpools.
